Arima Fhyter Ground FC vs Armanis Football Club
Hi guys, the quarter of our draw is as such and as we are not a ESPZEN Sunday Team, we have been allocated a Division 6 status. All non-sunday espzen teams are allocated this status in accordance with where espzen believes they will stand, should they play in the sunday league.
As VNNTU are a current Division 4 Sunday Team, we will thus go into our FA Cup tie with them next sunday on the 16th of Jan as the underdogs. We will be holding a 0.5 goal handicap and if our game with them ends as a draw, we will go through to the next round as winners based on the this handicap ruling.
It is rather unfortunate however, that should we successfully overcome VNNTU, we are likely to face one of only 4 seeded teams in the tournament, Armanis Football Club who are a Division 1 Sunday Team. Whatever the case, lets go out there and enjoy this cup tournament and see what magic we can bring to it. Since this is a knock out cup tournament as with every one off game, we stand a good chance to create an upset.
FYI, VNNTU are the vietnamese brother team to Fighting Cocks FC. Most of their players are from the vietnamese contingent studying in NTU. I am expecting a good game and it is certainly not beyond us to overcome these guys.
Some admin stuff to note:
- Wong & Jason, as you guys have your own Espzen Sunday teams who will also be taking part in this cup tournament, I will need you guys to decide if you would like to play for either SUFI or your own current teams (Innercircle / AC United) for this cup tournament. Apologies for putting you in a tough spot but you will only have to be de-registered from the CUP list of your respective teams should you decide to play for us. It will not affect your registration for the sunday league itself. Do feedback to me asap through the blog or via sms.
As for the rest, stay tuned as the venue and timing of our FA Cup game will be released later tomorrow. Cheers!
