The day where the rain went away and the kids came out to play

Alright, after some struggles with shagness, laziness and the need to just plain slack, i kindf decided to just comment on the game that we had today. The pre-game rain definitely did try to dampen our spirits although by the time kick off time came about, we did have smiles on our faces which was excellent in my opinion. Well, with the return of mahdi and the appearance of hopefully our new acquisition, the younger alan, there was plenty of hype around the game.

The goals came about via firstly an own goal by kass for sufi whites. The lead was quickly doubled after the man on a streak, ahcool nicked in to score the 2nd for sufi yellows. The lead was well deserved in my opinion and the fact that the whites were rather uncertain with each other's style of play definitely did contribute to that. It finished 2-0 to the yellows at half time.

The second half was more of a last man standing contest as the boys from both sides suffered physically having to play a full 80 mins. Cramps were aplenty and tiredness was all over. The whites did come back into the game eventually as we started to gel in the attacking sense with neat passing in the danger areas. Kass atoned for his own goal by scoring in with a long range effort. The equaliser then came after some pretty magical stuff by mahdi down the left before he laid it off for his fellow magician, dinietov to fire home from close range. The sufi yellow boys probably should have won the game when close to the end, they had 3 chances on goal in quick succession that hit everywhere and everything but the net.

So in the end, it was honours shared and probably well deserved for all who featured today.

Gaffers thoughts: Well done to all our sufi boys, it was really enjoyable for me to play against you guys and although it was pretty odd having to tackle each other and stuff, we did eventually make a good game out of it. Thank you to one and all for turning up and making this a really enjoyable day. With the acquisition of mahdi and alan, we will now officially finish all dealings in the 'transfer market'. Do make sure we welcome them warmly from now on and chit chat with them at games alright. Having them settle in asap will only help us as a team.

P.S: For those who are still undecided on whether to play this wednesday at the floating platform, do know that alaric, farhan, ronald, vic, lianquan, jufri, wong are out for sure already. If u can still make it, do appear for the game. Huseyin (our boss) and his friend Esad Sedjic (former s league player) will be the 'VIP' guests for the game. It wouldnt be an easy game against St Andrews FC who are a Sat league division 1 team and thus we need all the man power that we can get. Will update you guys on details of what time to meet and how to go to the venue again. Cya and have a good remainder of the weekend. Will see u guys on wednesday then. Cheers!
