Red Vs Blue. 2nd Vs 3rd.
It may yet be early days, however the results in division 2 have thus far been mapped out in such a way whereby the heavyweight teams will meet each other in a potential title deciding clash this saturday at Ibrahim-o Estadio. The winner, will lay claim to being quite likely the favourites for the league title. The loser on the other hand, will have to deal with the psychological effects of having been overcame by a fellow contender.
YSOSRS FC will travel to meet Coca Cola SSC in a top of the table clash on the 5th of June in what would be a severe test of character and strength for the boys in blue. Unbeaten in 4 games with 3 victories and a solitary draw. They are the men in form, and also marginal favourites going into the game. A testing performance last weekend saw them overcome a surprisingly strong SOS and garner full points. The real test for the boys in blue will come in June as the slated 3 games that they will play, will see them face 2 sides that are likely to have a major part to play during the business end of the season. YSOSRS however have had fans and pundits slightly worried with the expected squad going into the big clash this saturday. 4 players are expected to be out, captain marvel hizam, patrice jas-vra, dinie-tov and ala-rich.
The gaffer for YSOSRS however believes that the absentees will prove to be a good test of character and strength in depth of the squad. The lack of key men will certainly not be favourable for preparations, however spirit within the camp is high after their hard fought victory over SOS. The game will be an acid test for the men who are likely to step into the positions of the missing players and yet the gaffer has been reported as saying that he has utter faith in those who will be put in the firing line.
With a field that draws comparison with the highly criticized Wembly pitch, the playing ground in Ibrahim-o Estadio will certainly restrict a flowing passing game which could quite likely favour Coke. The boys in blue will probably be looking to play short quick passes with lots of running off the ball in order to move their adversaries out of position.
