Ahmad Ibrahim Sec, 1500 hrs

Coca Cola SSC 2 YSOSRS FC 3
(Rudee x1, Wong x1, Juf x1)

We came, we played and we conquered. Firstly, sorry dudes. I feel ashamed of my retaliation to the knee i got by that coke player which sparked off the unsavory scenes towards the end. But yeah, good game in the end. Given the circumstances that we had to play the game, we did fantastically well.

Events of the game were as such:
1) Less than 5 minutes had gone and the boys in blue draw 1st blood with an excellent through ball by farhan that left rudee with the simple task of rounding the keeper and side footing it.
1-0 up in what was an excellent start.

We however contrived to concede 2 goals and relinquished our lead as the team sat back and were hit by some excellent pieces of finishing by the opponents. So it finished 2-1 at half time leaving us with it all to do again.

2) Wong decides to leave a parting gift of sublime quality as he embarks on a scintillating solo run from inside our half and beats at least 3 guys before smashing the ball into the net, beating the keeper at his near post. Wong claims that he took on the entire coke team to score that guy. Well, whatever the case, salute u for that piece of magic. 2-2 with everything to play for.

3) Our shell shocked opponents were stung further as again a bolt like sprint from wong left our opponents in his wake. This time however, he cut the ball back for ah cool who was primed to finish off the move. A combination of shy-ness and heroic defending by the men in red prevented that from happening. However top scorer and captain of the day, Jufri was on hand just outside the box to smash the ball into the bottom left hand corner of the goal, in the process sending the guys and girls on the touch-line into a state of ecstasy . What a turn around and a smashing move that started with wong and ended with juf. 3-2 it finished!

My man of the match: Wong. (U were quite simply the difference maker. We will miss u when u are away dude. Kudos to an excellent performance.)

Comments:

1) Spoke to the organiser, asked him why he thinks we are the only team in the league that seems to have problems. He gave me a suggestion: 'Probably cause u guys are blowing away the rest of the field, very much like Team Beyond Imagination and FC Protege, thats why u are being targetted for rough-house treatment.' I will have to take that as a compliment. Though i seriously hope that such things do not happen again anymore. Getting sick of them spoiling our weekend of fun.

2) We are top of the heap now people. I couldn't care less about the yellow cards that we get if our opponents play like that. We gota protect ourselves anyway. No worries about it piling up right now man.

3) Have a good break alright guys? We resume play on the 19th of June against Serangoon United. Rest well and once again, thanks for the knocks, spits and god-knows what else that u guys had to endure.
