Match Preview For Matchday 6

Over in the Northern regions of Singapore, Ahmad Ibrahim Estadio will be the venue as Hooyah FC plays host to Thunderveluboomquiesi. With the former in 5th place, 2 points ahead of their visitors albeit having played a game more, this game would be a precursor to who eventually finishes higher in the middle of the division. Both teams are expected to jostle for places in mid table, however the momentum is probably with Hooyah FC as team spirits are high. TH have had a rollercoaster of a ride so far in the season and probably the biggest determinant as to who will emerge triumphant in this clash would be who TH actually fields in their team this saturday. Would it be the strong 1st 11 that brought them the NUS Ihg crown? Or a scrambled 11 to make up the numbers. Stay tune for results on this clash...

In our 2nd clash of the weekend for division 2, title contenders Coca Cola SSC will travel to the Eastern regions to visit Serangoon United FC at the impressive Greenie-view Estadio. Having been humiliated 2 matches ago by Kamago'z, the men in red answered their critics as TH faced a red tidal backlash. Having lost in 2 of the 3 games so far, Serangoon United will have to be at their very best if they are to expect anything from the game. However, a possible advantage for the home side would be the size of the field that they will be playing on. Wide and long, Serangoon will definitely have to use the massive amounts of space available to stretch the Coke team to the limit. Will the Coke team garner 3 massive points and leapfrog into pole position?

Finally, YSOSRS FC who have been quietly going about their business and collecting the points whilst the rest of the teams engage in their topsy turvy battles, will host bottom dwellers Sons Of Selarang at their irrepressible Queenstown Estadio. The lush green surface with it's perfect shades of green will be the stage whereby the title pretenders attempt to shed their tag and emerge as front runners for the division. The boys in blue thumped Marc FC in a friendly held on the same ground just 7 days ago, 7-0 and morale within the camp will be on a high heading into this clash. The gaffer for YSOSRS though has played down speculation that complacency could be a factor in this clash as he believes that the boys know what is at stake and that they will go out and show the division what they are made of. Will the title pretenders convert their games in hand into points or will SOS finally post their long awaited maiden victory in the league?

Here at MOKIE sportscentre, we will fill u in on all the latest scores and action as soon as we get them.
