Guys, just wanted to come out and clarify any potential misunderstandings that players may have.
We may merely be a social team, however, what drives the group of us forward in each game is the desire to want to perform well in games. It would be unreasonable to suggest that all of this is merely just for fun. Some part of it is, however would you rather be on a winning team or a losing team? I will leave you to ponder that question.
We have a good strong committed squad of 20 odd players, of which 15-16 guys are guaranteed to appear each week. A feasible number to have for each week would be 16 guys. However, as we saw in our game yesterday, we had 18 men. Playing time may be at a premium on certain weeks as i personally take responsibility for trying to spread it amongst all who turn up for the game.
In certain situations, we may be pushing to get an equaliser or even a winning goal and there will be specific players who are more appropriate for such a push and thus i will go along with the idea of allowing him to play more minutes. I do seek your understanding for me doing so. A personal contribution of even a mere 10 minutes, is still a valuable contribution to the cause of the team. At the moment, we only have 1 game a week. 80 minutes of football.
To me, the cause of the team comes first. Do know that i will do my personal best in keeping everyone happy in terms of minutes. However drill the thought into your mind that patience is a must. You will get your shot at showing your contribution. Should anyone not be pleased with anything related to the team, feel free to contact me.
The team's performance is satisfactory at the moment, so lets all do our very best in making it even better. Cheers guys.

ReplyDeleteI just want to say that although we haven't been playing flowy football, we fought hard to deserve where we are now. So, we should not be discouraged! Soon the passes will start connecting and the goals will start pouring. Most importantly, we must stick up for each other. And enjoy the game! Haha. Gay post.
